Office for Parish Life and Evangelization

The Office for Parish Life and Evangelization is responsible for evangelization to those inside and outside the Church, adult faith formation leading to discipleship, leadership development and ministry management training, life-long ongoing formation leading to the discernment of talents to serve in the ministries of the parish, and further utilizing gifts to join in the Church’s efforts of service and mission outward into the public square.

The Office for Parish Life also designs and implements special initiatives and projects to enhance the implementation of the New Evangelization among the faithful across the Archdiocese of Miami in order to accompany them into authentic discipleship to fulfill their baptismal call and mission to grow to the full maturity as a “Parish Missionary Disciple” of Christ and His Church.

The Office offers both direct and indirect formation opportunities.  Most programs utilize a train-the-trainer model for parishes to multiply their ministries based on their unique needs. 

“Parish Missionary Disciples” is a monthly evangelization strategic planning training for parish teams selected by their Pastor. 

“Ambassadors of First Impressions” is an outreach training in welcoming and hospitality for the point of contact staff. 

“An Overview of the Theology of the Body” is a day-long introductory workshop in Christian Anthropology for ministry. 

The yearly “Summits” are one-day training conferences with experts in a certain area of ministry. 

“Special Events”:  The Office team also handles many special Archdiocesan-wide projects such as synods, pilgrimages, revivals, et cetera.
